Manhood is a subject that is rarely addressed in today's society. It is rarely
addressed because of fear and retribution. To address manhood publicly is to open
one's self up to public and personal attack. The potential for attack when speaking about
the manhood issue only help's to strengthen the fear surrounding the topic. When it comes to the manhood issue, fear must be set aside, so that the needed subject can be brought to the public light of society.
Our society is in the desperate need of manhood training for most of its young men.
This training would help to strengthen society as a whole. Society will have a greater
cohesiveness if its young men are taught how to behave like men. Real men manhood substance are needed to train the younger men in the ways of becoming real men or at the least their examples must be followed. These training steps sometimes require tests to see if a man is able to qualify for entering into the steps of manhood training. It is surprising to some people that not all men qualify to enter into the ranks of manhood. Real men set the bar and the example for manhood.
There are different levels on the journey to manhood. Everyone who qualifies for
manhood training does not reach the same level or place. All who qualify at any level of
manhood are considered men and they are part of this unique brotherhood of those that show each other highest respect regardless of the their manhood level. The mark of true manhood is reflected in a man's ability to perform consistently well at his level manhood.
There are many test in life that will allow a man to self assess his status in the ranks of manhood. In some societies there are early test given to young boys by the men of that
society to determine who will be the future men of that society. In those societies it is a
one shot deal to determine who is a man and who is not.
In our society we can self assess ourselves to see where we stand in the arena of
manhood. Even with our own assessment of manhood, society will also make its own
determination as to our status of manhood. Society will test our past actions in all areas of life to determine if you can enter into to the public area of manhood.
Our manhood self assessment and criteria are gather from the real men of our society and the examples they left. Do we have self control$%: Can we refrain from violent retaliation$%: Are we respectful to our elders$%: Are we good workers and respectful$%: These are just a few of the questions that will allow you to begin on the road to manhood self assessment. If you are lacking in self control and self respect, you will have a long way to travel on this road to manhood.
To travel this road to manhood, you must daily walk its path. You must realize that
you are a man and you must act like a man, no matter what the situation. The shoes on
your feet must move in the direction of brethren; don't worry you are not traveling alone.
